Here is the first of the Mezzaluna series of earrings for sale

Thanks for looking everyone, have a great Monday. Be nice and share your smile with someone today.

This is the first listing from the new earrings in the Mezzaluna series, hopefully more today and tomorrow.

Finally Friday- whew

I have been trying to get ready for our guilds yearly retreat, Sandy Camp.

It is challenging with a bouncing 2 1/2 year old that has no idea why I am ignoring her. Like I would. She has finally lain down for a nap, thus my frivolous time writing a little blog. ;-D

That is why I haven’t been posting in the morning, I usually schedule posts the night before. I finally get to work after dinner and that is what I am doing when I should be writing my blog.

I always get a slew of ideas when I am writing a how-to, preparing for a show, getting ready for a class, packing for a trip, or anytime I am trying to focus on the impending job at hand that I am running out of time for.

So what I wanted to show you is a piece that came out of that time.

I have a few sculpts that I did years ago and I was making molds from them to sell in the Sandy Camp store. This one has always been a favorite of mine.

A happily content Green Man in the Cernit Nature color Basalt (502 in our Clay Factory store) smiles happily.

This was taken from an architectural influence and  replicates a piece of a building for you to wear.

The piece is medium size.

It is stained or antiqued with black Ne-opaque acrylic paint.

And then it is blushed with Super Bronze Lumiere. I have made a few in different stone and metal colors.

This one is in my Etsy store now

A Green Man is a sculpture, drawing, or other representation of a face surrounded by or made from leaves. Branches or vines may sprout from the nose, mouth, nostrils or other parts of the face and these shoots may bear flowers or fruit. Commonly used as a decorative architectural ornament, Green Men are frequently found on carvings in churches and other buildings.

The Green Man motif has many variations. Found in many cultures around the world, the Green Man is often related to natural vegetative deities springing up in different cultures throughout the ages. Primarily it is interpreted as a symbol of rebirth, or “renaissance,” representing the cycle of growth each spring. From

I didn’t get the whole blog written either had to put it away and start again later.

So friday is almost over now.

Have a wonderful weekend.

Something new

It is hot hot hot here and humid, it is gross. How do you guys in the east handle this for day after day after day during the summer? I know, air conditioning, I don’t have it! Yuck.

I have been creating through the sopping wet heat. I do it with a fan pointed right on me! Every minute of the day ;-D and night.

I want to share a couple of new designs. Unzipped Hearts, but with new things in them.

First is Frankie

I am gearing up for Halloween, at least that makes me smile when I am hot.

Fall nights, crisp air, and trick or treating, YAY!

And the Unzipped Monkey, at my daughters suggestion. She loves monkeys.

A sock monkey, I love him. Isn’t he cute?

Thanks kid!

Have a great day, stay cool, and extend kindness to someone who is not.

Some new stuff

The post was titled Happy Monday, I missed that ;-D Madi has a cold and I am coming down with it I guess. I keep thinking to myself “boy is her resistance going to be good”. Mine too?? I thought it was.

I have been working away though.

I am so glad that you liked Heart of America. Donna and I loved that you did.

I have another one

Heart of America 2 Salt of the Earth

I love this one too! The turquoise one is so wonderful but this one has more of a subtle beauty to it.

I also came up with this over the weekend.

There is much ado about the royal wedding  and I guess I have been bitten by the bug too.

I am also watch a series on TV called the “Game of Thrones” I am intrigued with it, so I guess this was brewing below the surface.

The Royal Wedding Marie

I named it Marie because it is the first and I really am in love with it and there was a queen named Marie.

I also have some Dead flowers ;-D

I really like these too and they were fun, I like fun.

Dead Flowers Brooch 2 Pretty peach

These are tie tack pins or brooches and they have a little crystal drop hanging from the filigree in the background.

Sweet little skulls peek out from the center of the rose.

I also made some more of the Small Steampunk hearts.

I love making these and they seems to be a favorite in my shop. It is funny how they all come out different every time.

I did 6 of these this weekend, but I only have 3 in the shop.

I had the hardest time getting them photographed though, the sun was hidden most of the time and the battery in my camera pooped out too. I don’t know about you but I love my camera and not having it is scary. I have another battery but I put it in my camera and got the same error message, I did have a melt down for a minute, but I charged it all the way and it worked, thank you, thank you, thank you.

Steampunk Heart 9

I had a great weekend and I was supposed to be working on something else. I had a hard time trying to stay focused on what I was supposed to be doing.

I hope you all are having a great week

A little reminder about the Giveaway and the finished piece.

I am having a giveaway right now, it is the 18th giveaway. I am giving away this prototype piece.

You can still enter the giveaway on post

This giveaway closes on the 11th, that would be 1-11-11 at 11:11 pm.

Do not post here for your entry.

Here is the piece that developed from the prototype above.

this is Sacred Heart 3, it is in my Etsy shop now!

And here is Sacred heart 2

Also in my Etsy Shop now

Here is the story of these hearts.

This sacred heart necklace is inspired by a friend’s dream and I made what she told me.

“This is Mary’s heart and all women’s hearts being pierced but still able to love and feel joy and compassion and it is because of that piercing that we can do just that. The sword stands for a mother’s love. ”

Make your life like this heart!

I am taking a small break

Tattoo you new in my shop art from my heart. I can still get it to youin time in the states ;-D

I am tired and in need of a small break to catch up on things.

Take some time for myself and just take some of the pressure off.

I also need to get the caca off my desk so I can keep working. LOL!

It seems like I have been blogging non-stop lately.

I am not taking long and I will probably post again this weekend.

My snapshot christmas bead was in two awesome treasuries today.

With all the treasuries and the excitement over some of the changes at Etsy, I am really getting in the holiday mood.

When you find a store or an artist you like you might want to click on their profile and check out their circle.

It is down on the left under profile click that, then when you get to their profile page you can find their “circle” in that same area on that opened page.

You will find that artists you like, like artists you will like. (read twice) ;-D

This one is Merry Magical.

Thank you Season Art
