A new unzipped heart- the king and I

OK it is Friday, I am still away.

I do though have another favor to ask.

Be kind to someone you normally wouldn’t give the time of day today.

You will know who it is.

Bring yourself to full attention and be there for that person.

Present with all of your senses in their presence.

Take a moment to be there all the way.

Forget what is going on for you just for a bit, second, moment, minute, or ten minutes.

Your gift to them.

You are an important part of this world.
Thank you.

Now this is the King Unzipped heart.

He is wise and kind.

He rules with grace.

He is loving and caring.

Unzipped Heart- The King and I

More new pieces- not listed yet.

I love making the little Steampunk hearts I make, quick little doses of steampunk clay. I enjoy how different I can make one from the other.

I make them when I am in the mood.

Do you do that, get on a roll with something and make them over and over?

Do you enjoy something so much that you forget how many you have made?

I adore these Steampunk Bobbies. I sell these heart Bobbie pins in the Hoarders Closet. Cute little finding, this one.

I love this one too, but I am having a hard time getting a good picture of it. It looks so much better in person. I may have to keep this one if I can not photograph it right ;-D

Kind of an Angel Straight Jacket Steampunk heart. Sounds like me!

A simple, but totally sweet one. I tend to get too busy sometimes for these small pieces and this one is not so! The metal hearts that I use to put the clay into are in my Etsy shop too! The metal bail on the top is even attached and come with the heart.

And this one busy and fun like I like them.

There is a Claddagh symbol with two hands, the heart, and the crown on it!

These are not listed in my Etsy shop yet, if you want one let me know!

“The Claddagh’s distinctive design features two hands clasping a heart, and usually surmounted by a crown. The elements of this symbol are often said to correspond to the qualities of love (the heart), friendship (the hands), and loyalty (the crown).

The way that a Claddagh ring is worn on the hand is usually intended to convey the wearer’s romantic availability, or lack thereof.

Traditionally, if the ring is on the right hand with the heart facing outward and away from the body, this indicates that the person wearing the ring is not in any serious relationship, and may in fact be single and looking for a relationship: “their heart is open.”

When worn on the right hand but with the heart facing inward toward the body, this indicates the person wearing the ring is in a relationship, or that “someone has captured their heart”.

A Claddagh worn on the left hand ring finger facing outward away from the body generally indicates that the wearer is engaged.

When the ring is on the left hand ring finger and facing inward toward the body, it generally means that the person wearing the ring is married.” [1]

Some new stuff

The post was titled Happy Monday, I missed that ;-D Madi has a cold and I am coming down with it I guess. I keep thinking to myself “boy is her resistance going to be good”. Mine too?? I thought it was.

I have been working away though.

I am so glad that you liked Heart of America. Donna and I loved that you did.

I have another one

Heart of America 2 Salt of the Earth

I love this one too! The turquoise one is so wonderful but this one has more of a subtle beauty to it.

I also came up with this over the weekend.

There is much ado about the royal wedding  and I guess I have been bitten by the bug too.

I am also watch a series on TV called the “Game of Thrones” I am intrigued with it, so I guess this was brewing below the surface.

The Royal Wedding Marie

I named it Marie because it is the first and I really am in love with it and there was a queen named Marie.

I also have some Dead flowers ;-D

I really like these too and they were fun, I like fun.

Dead Flowers Brooch 2 Pretty peach

These are tie tack pins or brooches and they have a little crystal drop hanging from the filigree in the background.

Sweet little skulls peek out from the center of the rose.

I also made some more of the Small Steampunk hearts.

I love making these and they seems to be a favorite in my shop. It is funny how they all come out different every time.

I did 6 of these this weekend, but I only have 3 in the shop.

I had the hardest time getting them photographed though, the sun was hidden most of the time and the battery in my camera pooped out too. I don’t know about you but I love my camera and not having it is scary. I have another battery but I put it in my camera and got the same error message, I did have a melt down for a minute, but I charged it all the way and it worked, thank you, thank you, thank you.

Steampunk Heart 9

I had a great weekend and I was supposed to be working on something else. I had a hard time trying to stay focused on what I was supposed to be doing.

I hope you all are having a great week

Steampunk Mini ala Jodi and Marie part 2

This is continued from part 1

Now for the more later…

I added the lattice to the bottom it is only glued across the bottom and the sides so it can hold a picture.

I added some more trim to the right hand top.

This whole page reminds me of steamboats for some reason.

I like the way this page turned out. I love keys, so there you are!

There is a pocket here and it holds a tag. I used 2 of those metal pieces (20 pc Triad filigree Gold Color $5.00) hubby has and glued them back to back to make a tag pull. Just had to cut off the rings on the bottom with a pair of dikes.

Love, love, love, the way this turned out.

Now this is one of the best papers with that ladies face. I added the burgundy trim and gate on the other side, they will both hold pictures or journal cards.

The watch comes out so you can write on it.

And there are cards on either end to put pictures on or write on if you wish.

As Laura (She has some great projects up there now) says “there is tons of real estate in this album”

There is a card sticking out of the top and that is a pocket that is hidden between the pages.

Remember this? It gets moved, but that is a Tim Holtz gear die cut. Tim really has some awesome stuff for steampunk right now! I loved it all.

Another page and pocket in progress.

OMG I just love the writing.

There are 3 pockets here and something in each one. That long one is a chipboard tag with more of hubby’s metal on it.

The tag has a watch face that is only glued on the side and the gear is from Tim’s die cuts and comes free, it is not glued at all. Little metal flourish on the bottom is from hubby too.

Those little metal cars are available too.

Here is a closer view.

Not done yet at all.

Stay tuned there is more…

Steampunk Mini ala Jodi and Marie, plus the WINNERS ARE

We watched Laura at the Paper Trail”s Ustream video’s for the instructions on this mini. It is a #10 envelope Mini album. I had also watch several of the older

We used 6 black envelopes each.

We sealed them, cut them and scored them and then folded them.

We added some papers, a lot of the paper is Graphic 45 paper.

Mine is the top one and Jodi’s the bottom one.

We made some die cuts and punched some punches.

This is one of my favorite pages. I love clock faces and writing. Oh, and then there  is the black and white thing. I used a lot of decorative metal that my husband carries in his online store. You can see some of the stuff on my site. I used all three findings on the bottom on the right. I also have the flourish in gold and silver that is around the clock face in the picture above on the left of the mini. I have the old fashioned cars that are on the bottom right in the picture above. These findings turned out to be a huge asset, you will see more of them in future pictures.

Oh and this page is another favorite. More happens to it later, the gear card in the pocket moves to a different place too.

Well, I shall show you more later.

And the winners are…

the 2nd winner is…

Congratulations you two, please get me your snail mail addys. My email is on the profile page.

Monday Updates- Another week

I am exhausted, blissfully, and my hands are so dry from the paper.

It started on Friday night, I got to Jodi’s about 9pm and we started right away. We finished the birdhouses that night.

I always bring my homemade Hummus. I do have to say that I think it is the best hummus I have ever eaten in my life and I have eaten tons of it, even in Israel.

It was very, very good in Israel, very good, but I like mine better (IMHO). We ate hummus and chips and made a huge mess. I was feeling totally gratefully for the place to escape to, the companionship from one of my favorite people, the craft craziness, and the good food.

Lucky, lucky me.

This is the table about 12 midnight

We stayed up till 3 am. Crazy, I know, and Jodi had been up since 5 am that morning.

She adores paper, it revs her right up. You can feel the love of it coming right off of her like waves when something floats her boat or she shows you something new.

We laughed and laughed and time flew by, I do not think either one of us realized what time it was.

When we finished the houses we started to make a small 10# envelope mini.

We had been planning to do something Steampunk.

She likes it too, but this is something that truly floats my boat.

My side of the table

What a mess. I am going to post more tomorrow with the winners to the  17th giveaway!!

I just wanted to let you know I was still alive!

Talk to you tomorrow!

Have a great night.

I love this Treasury!
